Serving Northern Alberta and British Columbia, Road Runner Safety Solutions is a Grande Prairie based safety company that takes pride in being your “One Stop Safety Shop”.
We have a team of incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable employees dedicated to meeting your needs and staying up to date on the latest regulations and safety trends. Not only can our staff provide you with a unique and custom safety program, we can offer support with online registry compliance, COR and SECOR audits, department of transportation legislation and logbook compliance, basic safety training and much, much more.
In addition to our safety consulting services, our office includes a boardroom to host your safety meetings and worker training. We also have a reatil safety supplies sotre where you can pick up most PPE and safety supplies required for any job.
We have a fire extinguisher department that operates out of our office building which includes a mobile service unit.
In our dedication to providing you with up to date and convenient safety, we have recently developed an on-line training system for our clients. This intelligent, easy to use system will allow you to train your workers at their convenience whether during the work week, afterhours or on weekends.
We are also proud to be SECOR certified through Energy Safety Canada.
We Started as a Small Business Just Like You
Road Runner Safety Solutions was started by Tanya Michalchuk to help a family business establish a functioning and compliant safety program for the oilfield. This proved to be a huge undertaking including researching federal and provincial legislation and specific company requirements including safety policies, practices and procedures. This information was then compiled into a legible, cohesive and compliant document that has continued to evolve and grow into the document still used today.
The business quickly grew as our reputation for creating a safety program like no other spread by word of mouth and was incorporated in 2006. At the time we provided safety consulting services, creating and managing safety programs for a variety of oilfield based companies.
In no time, Road Runner Safety Solutions grew to a point where we hired our first employee and we have continue growing ever since, adding auditing services and branching into safety programs for construction, government work, forestry and more.
In 2013 we opened a retail safety supplies shop carrying the personal protective equipment and safety supplies you need to get your job done.
In 2014 we naturally progressed into the sales and servicing of fire extinguishers.
Since then we have continued to grow and expand our services to meet your needs as we push forward into the new digital age.

Tanya Michalchuk
President
Tanya grew up on a family grain and livestock farm in northern Alberta and is the founder of Road Runner Safety Solutions Ltd. She has worked for a family oilfield construction business, owned and operated a vegetation management and construction company and has undertaken extensive safety training so she can understand your needs both as a safety professional and a company owner.
Tanya received her Occupational Health and Safety Certificate from the University of Alberta in 2007. More recently in 2014 she she took her Fire Extinguisher Inspection and Maintenance certification through Lakeland College. She also has her External Auditor Certification through Alberta Associations for Safety Partnerships (AASP) and her Certified Health and Safety External Auditor status through Energy Safety Canada (ESC). She participates in a variety of courses to stay up to date with the changing industry.
When not keeping up to date with safety, Tanya enjoys spending time with her family, riding horses, camping and spending time in the outdoors.
